Clara Wichmann Hall

Clara Wichmann was a Dutch jurist and philosopher. She was active in the labour movement, the anti-militarist movement and the women's movement. She fought for women's suffrage and was a convinced anarchist. However, she was influential because of her legal-philosophical work on the injustice of punishment, for which she received her doctorate in 1912. Between 1916 and her death in 1922 she was closely involved with the ISVW as a lecturer in 'Man and Society', as a board member and as a member of the Board of Directors.
