Van Eeden Hall

Frederik van Eeden (1860-1932) was a writer, psychiatrist and social reformer. In 1898 he founded the Walden colony in Bussum, a principled anti-capitalist commune. In 1916 he became involved in the plans for the ISVW, but withdrew together with LEJ Brouwer when it was founded. Both of them then became active in the significa, a Dutch conceptual critical movement that focused on improving understanding through language analysis.

'Linguistic-critical reflection is a matter of the utmost importance.'
