Bierens de Haan hall


Dr. JD Bierens de Haan (1866-1943) was one of the most beloved speakers and course leaders at the ISVW from its foundation in 1916. He was a driving force behind the School and held many administrative positions. He was one of the first proponents of the introduction of philosophy in secondary education, and in 1907 he co-founded the Tijdschrift voor Wijsbegeerte.
